Night Snowmobile Safari from Saariselkä in Search of the Aurora

Saariselkä sits far enough north and far enough from anything to make the dark genuinely dark. The safari follows easy trails through snowy forest and low fell country, well away from artificial light. The riding is half of it: frosted trees on both sides, then a clearing where the whole sky opens at once. The silence between engine noise is the part people mention afterwards.
