Aurora Safari by Minibus with Private Camp Locations Across Troms
A 5 to 7 hour aurora safari by minibus from Tromsø, out into countryside dark enough for the lights to show properly. The stops are chosen for the view, and the guide helps you photograph what you are seeing, tripod included, which is the equipment most people forget and then need. Coffee, hot chocolate and cake come with the waiting. Numbers are capped at 15. The distinguishing feature is the operator's own camp sites spread across the region. Most tours end up in a shared parking area with four other companies, headlights coming and going; a private site means darkness that stays dark, and a toilet.

Our experienced guide will meet you at the bus & harbour…
The guide meets you at the bus and harbour terminal. The trip runs 5 to 7 hours through the winter country looking for the aurora. Dress warmly. Winter suits are available, and there is a bonfire to sit around when the weather allows.
Troms
The chase covers the Troms region, and the direction out of the city depends on the forecast. Some evenings the group stays near the coast, others it heads inland. The operator has private camp locations spread around the region and uses them when it can, which means standing somewhere quiet instead of in a shared parking lot with several other companies. Those sites also have toilets.
Tromso
At some point the minibus starts back toward the city, though there is still room to stop along the way. If the aurora appears again, the group stops again.
