Cleary Summit Aurora Glass House Northern Lights Tour from Fairbanks
The Aurora Glass House opened in 2025 on top of Cleary Summit, outside Fairbanks. Floor to ceiling windows give it over 270 degrees of view, so the sky is visible from a heated room with lounge chairs in it. That combination is the whole point. Watching from a summit puts the horizon well below you; watching through glass means you can do it for hours without losing feeling in your hands. Hot drinks are included, and the local host tells the stories that go with the aurora while you wait. It works for couples, families and photographers alike, though photographers should know they will want to step outside for the shots.
