Fairbanks

A long day from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle along one of the most remote roads in the world, guided by someone who lives here. The stops cover the country and the Trans Alaska Pipeline, and the return puts the group under a dark sky at the hours the aurora is most likely. The tour runs 12 to 14 hours in a climate controlled van, in a small group, with storytelling and scenic stops along the way. That length is the honest cost of reaching the Arctic Circle by road: it is 200 miles each way from Fairbanks, on a highway built for trucks. The operator states that a full refund is available up to 7 days before the tour. Note that the booking policy shown at checkout says otherwise, so check which applies to your reservation before paying.
