Northern Lights Chase from Tromso Guided in Spanish
An aurora chase guided entirely in Spanish, which is the reason to pick this one out of the crowd of English language departures leaving Tromsø the same night. Standing in the cold at midnight is easier when the person explaining what is above you speaks your language. The driver and guide act as hosts for the evening, and the booking stays flexible: if the weather turns, you can change or cancel. Every participant is contacted on the morning of the tour with the forecast for that night. At the stop there is a campfire, hot drinks, a light meal and refreshments under the polar sky, with the guide explaining the science behind the aurora alongside local history and culture. The guide photographs the night, and the pictures are available to you afterwards.

The minibus is warm, the driver experienced, and the guide talks through the aurora, Norwegian culture and history on the way out. At the stop, thermal suits and a campfire, with hot chocolate, tea or coffee, and a light dinner made from local ingredients by the operator's favourite local restaurant, eaten outdoors. When the lights come out, the guide gives night photography tips and takes your portrait. Back in Tromsø around 1 to 2 am depending on conditions, with hotel drop-off, and the photographs sent afterwards.
