Northern Lights Minivan Excursion from Tromso, 8 Guests per Van

Every evening the operator reads the latest weather update and picks the area around Tromsø with the best chance of clear sky. Pickup is at 7 pm outside the main entrance of the Radisson Blu Hotel. From there it is a 100 metre walk to the office, where the guide sets up the right aurora and night photography settings on your camera or phone before you go anywhere. Doing that indoors, in the warm, is far easier than doing it later in the dark with cold hands. Then warm overalls and boots, and straight out to the chosen spot. Some nights the aurora is there on arrival; other nights the group waits with coffee and muffins.
