The meeting point is the office at Myllyjoentie 2. Meet the guide 15 minutes before the tour start time.
Levi
The night opens with a short briefing: current weather, the aurora forecast, and where the group is going as a result. After that, 2 to 3 locations, chosen for local conditions and for what photographs well. If the clear sky and the aurora are 100 km away, that is where the van goes.
Lapland
The company has run aurora hunts in Lapland since 2016, and the team behind it has spent more than a decade learning where the Arctic sky clears. Every evening starts with a real-time briefing on weather and aurora activity, and the direction is chosen from that. When the best odds are far from town, the group drives there. The minivans are premium and warm, with winter clothing, hot drinks and snacks on board, and the group stays between 2 and 8 guests. The locations are private and away from the crowds, which matters as much for the quiet as for the photographs. When the sky starts to glow, the professional photographer works while you watch. The images come back to you afterwards.
