Northern Lights Tour from Kiruna to Abisko National Park
A night hunt for the aurora in Abisko, which has a reputation among aurora watchers that goes beyond marketing: the mountains to the west take the weather out of the incoming air, so this valley sees more clear nights than the coast does. The guides take the group to the better viewing spots, where the display can run green, pink and purple depending on how active the night is. Along the way they explain both the physics of the aurora and the folklore that grew around it, and they photograph the night, sending high quality images afterwards. The country here is snow covered forest, frozen lakes and mountains, which gives the aurora something to stand over in a photograph. Transport, professional winter gear, snacks and hot drinks are all included, so nothing is left for you to organise.
