The operator reports that more than 10,000 visitors took this tour last season. The guides are also photographers, with over 15 years of chasing the aurora between them. When the sky is not cooperating, the tour is extended rather than cut short, which is the practical form that experience takes. The navigation is done with current forecasting tools, hunting for breaks in the cloud where the aurora can actually be seen. That matters most if you only have one or two nights in Tromsø and cannot simply try again tomorrow. Professional photographs of you with the aurora are included. The group stays small, and the guides fill the waiting with stories and local knowledge rather than silence.

Tromso
Pickup is in Tromsø city centre, and the destination is chosen from the weather that evening. At the location the guide serves food and hot drinks to keep everyone warm while the aurora is watched. A professional guide photographer comes along and takes the pictures of the night.
