Tromso Aurora Tour For All, Accessible Northern Lights Chase
The evening starts at the meeting point, where the guide explains how the night will run and which direction the group is heading. Through the night the guide talks about the aurora, what causes it and what to expect from it. At the stop there is a fire to sit around, warm food and hot drinks, with blankets, thermal clothing and snow boots available for anyone who needs them. When the display starts, the guide gives advice on getting your own photographs, and also takes professional pictures of you to take home. The tour usually runs 6 to 8 hours, and can be shorter or longer depending on the conditions. Accessibility is the part that sets this operator apart. Every departure accepts wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. The guides are prepared to work with visually impaired and deaf guests, and they build the evening to be comfortable for neurodivergent people. Almost no aurora operator in Tromsø states this as a standing policy rather than a request to be handled case by case.
