A small group fjord expedition for people who want the aurora badly enough to drive for it. The guide is a local aurora tracker and the route is set from live weather and solar forecasts on the night, not from a printed itinerary. The destinations are the fjords around Tromsø: Kaldfjord, Ersfjord, Balsfjord. Away from the coach stops, and with still water in front of the mountains, so the aurora appears twice, once overhead and once in the reflection. Eight guests is the ceiling. That keeps the vehicle able to change plan and gives everyone room at the viewpoint. Thermal suits, campfire breaks and professional aurora photography are all included. The guides work in English, Arabic and Norwegian. Bring your passport: if the sky over Norway is closed, the group crosses into Finland to find clear air.

Tromso
The evening leaves the city lights behind and follows the aurora through the fjords around Tromsø, where the lights come with mountains around them and water underneath. The guide plans the route in real time from weather and solar forecast systems, reaching places like Kaldfjord, Ersfjord and Balsfjord depending on where the conditions are best. There is a campfire break with grilled corn, marshmallows and hot chocolate. Thermal suits are included, and the professional photographs of you under the lights, taken on proper camera gear, are delivered free afterwards. With no more than 8 guests, there is room to wander, photograph and stand still without a queue behind you.
