Tromso Northern Lights Bus Hunt with Arctic GM and Viewing Guarantee
Arctic GM call themselves the Original Aurora Hunters, and the family behind the company has lived under these skies for 20 generations. They have taken more than 50,000 guests out and hold international awards for it. Every departure runs with certified guides. The evening starts at one of the Tromsø meeting points. Routes can run up to two hours one way, across fjords and valleys, following clear sky wherever it appears. Behind the drivers sits a round the clock back office aurora command centre and more than 150 staff spread across northern Scandinavia, which is a genuinely different scale of information from one guide reading an app. When the sky opens, the group steps out into open Arctic country and the guides take professional DSLR photographs of you under the lights. Thermal overalls, hot drinks and light snacks are included. Total duration 4 to 6 hours.

Tromso
The evening starts in Tromsø, meeting the Arctic GM guides. The hunt can lead up to two hours from the city, through fjords, mountain passes and inland pockets where the climate behaves differently from the coast. The guides talk about the science of the aurora, Arctic nature and local legends, backed by the company's round the clock command centre and its 150 plus field staff across northern Scandinavia. When conditions line up, the bus stops at chosen spots well away from any town glow. Outside, green waves move across the sky, sometimes with purple in them. The guides take professional DSLR photographs of you under the lights while thermal overalls, hot drinks and light snacks keep the cold at bay.
