An aurora chase by bus with two people working the night: a professional driver and an experienced aurora guide. The guide reads the forecast and picks where the bus goes, which is the decision that determines everything else. Camera settings and practical advice come before the lights appear, so you are not learning them in the dark with numb fingers. The guide also photographs the group through the evening, and those pictures come home with you. Said plainly: the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. The English, German and Spanish departures all meet inside the Prostneset building, at the main entrance downstairs near the bus terminal.
