YellowknifeA 100% Aboriginal owned company, run by people who grew up in Yellowknife and hunt the aurora for a living. The van drives to one location or several, depending on where the sky is worth stopping for that night. The company is small, which keeps the group personal rather than processional. Professional photographs of guests under the aurora are taken at no charge. Smaller tripods are lent free; larger ones can be rented. Every tour includes hot chocolate and Canadian maple cookies.

Yellowknife River Territorial Park Day Use Area
Where the group goes is decided on the night, by the aurora, the weather and where the other companies have gone. These are hunting tours in the strict sense: no cabins, no tents, no washrooms. What is out there is wilderness, wildlife and aurora. Because the tour runs late and stays rough, the minimum age is 5.
