Aurora BBQ at a Private Kota near Rovaniemi, Three Hours
A fifteen minute drive from the city centre to a private site: dark, quiet and surrounded by Arctic forest. From there the evening does not move. The waiting happens in a kota, the Sami tent with a fire in the middle, with a Lappish barbecue, marshmallows to grill and a hot drink on top. Starting times are flexible. This is a fixed spot rather than a chase, which is the trade: less driving, more time by the fire. No sighting can be guaranteed, since the aurora is a natural phenomenon. Tell the operator in advance if you are vegan.

The programme is built for people who want the aurora with a fire and a meal rather than a night of driving. Three hours in total. The transfer from the meeting point in the city centre takes about 15 minutes, and roughly 2.5 hours are spent at the private spot, in a kota with a bonfire and a hot drink to work through. Meanwhile there is Lappish BBQ and marshmallows to grill while the sky is watched. Afterwards the driver takes you back to the meeting point. Notes: this is a fixed spot on private land; the aurora is a natural phenomenon and cannot be promised; tell them in advance if you are vegan.
