Bodo eBike Northern Lights Tour to Ausvika Beach with Bonfire
The route to Ausvika beach starts with an easy 8 km on an eBike, followed by a 1.5 km walk along a coastal trail. At the beach the guides build a bonfire, which is both the heat source and the reason the place works: firelight against a starry sky, with the sea going in and out a few metres away. The aurora may appear while you are there. The approach is deliberately different from most operators. Instead of driving for hours looking for the right conditions, this tour stays local and only runs when the weather and the auroral activity are already favourable, with a full refund if it is cancelled. That is a harder promise to keep than a guaranteed departure, and a more honest one. Snow and ice sometimes make the road unsuitable for bikes, in which case a car is used instead.
