Northern Lights Safari from Bodo with Rampen

A hunt for the aurora in the country around Bodø, away from the city and its noise. The evening starts at the Rampen Adventure Hub with a short briefing on what the night is likely to do and what to expect from it. From there the group travels by car to whichever spots have the best odds. When conditions allow, everyone gets out into the Arctic night with something hot to drink while the sky is watched. Bodø is worth noting as a base in its own right: it sits on the coast just above the Arctic Circle, and the aurora here often appears over open water rather than over a valley.
