The minibus is heated and comfortable, and the guide spends the evening working out where the sky is worth stopping under, then explains what is actually happening up there when it starts. If the lights appear, the guide takes photographs for everyone in the group, so nobody needs a professional camera or the knowledge to use one. Two things stated plainly: the northern lights are a natural phenomenon and no sighting can be guaranteed, and tours that have operated are not refundable.

The minibus is heated and comfortable while the guide searches for the right location, and the science of what causes the display gets explained on the way.
