Northern Lights Small Group Tour from Reykjavík with Hot Chocolate
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
ReykjavikThe aurora forms high in the upper atmosphere, where solar wind collides with the magnetic field of the planet. That part is settled. Where it will be visible on any given night is not, which is why the team spends the day reading weather data before deciding where to drive. The locations change from one day to the next. The group heads in whichever direction carries the best chance, instead of returning to the viewpoint that worked last week. The tour depends on the weather and sightings cannot be guaranteed. If nothing appears, you are welcome to join another Northern Lights coach tour free of charge.

Iceland
Reykjavik throws out enough light to make the aurora hard to see from inside the city, so the bus drives into the darker countryside to hunt for it. An experienced northern lights guide comes along and has plenty to say on the way. At the spot the guide picks as the best bet for the night, there is time to get off the bus and stand under the sky. Nobody rushes the photographs either, and if the camera is fighting you, the guide can help set it up.
