Northern Lights Viewing at Murphy Dome near Fairbanks
Murphy Dome is one of the better aurora viewing points near Fairbanks, and the reason is elevation: a dome with the ground falling away on all sides, so the northern horizon is not hidden behind trees or a ridge. That matters more than people expect. A weak display sits low in the sky, and from a valley floor it can be entirely behind the treeline while someone up on the dome is watching it. Booking note: all sales are final, with no refund for cancellation.
