Private Northern Lights Tour from Reykjavík towards Borgarnes

Winter in Iceland is sold on the aurora, and this is the private version of the hunt: a night drive out of Reykjavik into open country, with nobody else's schedule to accommodate. The default route runs west, past the town of Borgarnes, but the weather has the last word. The guide watches the forecast closely and takes the group wherever the odds are better that night. One honest caveat from Mercury, who run it: they try to keep every tour of this kind private, and when the weather makes that impossible, bookings are combined. In that case the van carries a maximum of 8 people.
