Rovaniemi
Departure. Small Group travellers are collected from their accommodation in Rovaniemi; Bus Tour travellers meet in the city centre. Before setting off, the guide goes through the night's cloud cover and aurora forecast and explains where the group is heading and why. At the end of the night you are returned to the same place.
Lapland
The chase itself. The guide reads live cloud cover, solar activity and road conditions and drives towards the clearest sky, sometimes 20 minutes from Rovaniemi, sometimes well past the Arctic Circle. The stops are at dark viewing spots away from city lights, with hot drinks served and the guide photographing you under the lights on professional equipment. The photos are sent free after the tour.
