On this Northern Lights tour
The tour leaves the lights of Reykjavík behind for the dark Icelandic wilderness, where the odds are simply better. The guide, a professional photographer, sets up the camera equipment for a photo session with the group, then lays out a table with hot chocolate and snacks for the waiting. The drive can pass some striking country, and the guide explains what you are looking at along the way. Each night's route is planned against weather, cloud cover and geomagnetic forecasts.
