South Coast, Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike and Northern Lights from Reykjavík
One booking covers a full day on the South Coast, a guided glacier hike, and a northern lights hunt after dark. No car needed at any point. The South Coast is waterfalls dropping off rugged cliffs and black sand running the length of the shoreline. The hike goes up onto Sólheimajökull, where the ice shows blue where it has been compressed and splits into crevasses that shift from one season to the next. A guide leads that part. Back in Reykjavík there are free hours to eat and warm up before the evening starts. Then out of the city again for the aurora, into skies dark enough to see it in green, purple and pink when it appears. It makes for a long day. That is the trade for not having to choose between the coast and the sky.

- This is a combo of 2 different best-selling adventures: a south coast sightseeing tour with a glacier hike, and a hunt for the Northern Lights. You are dropped of at your original pickup point in Reykjavik in between tours.
- The northern lights are a natural phenomena, and as such can not be guaranteed. The success of the northern lights tour is heavily dependent on weather conditions, the operator reserves the right to cancel this part of the tour until 18:15 on the day of departure. If the tour goes ahead and no northern lights are seen we offer you the chance to join another evening´s departure free of charge upon availability. Note: you must contact the operator to rebook.
