The site sits in the arctic forest, surrounded by ice lakes, with a traditional sauna and an open-air jacuzzi. There is an Arctic lake alongside for anyone who wants to try ice swimming. The sauna is not a spa treatment in Finland. It has been a place for physical and spiritual cleansing for centuries, and nothing else quite replaces it. Dipping in the icy lake and rolling in the snow are said to be good for the circulation. You can lie in the jacuzzi and watch the northern lights from the water. Afterwards the group walks out to the frozen lake to hunt for them properly, with hot drinks and gingerbread. Departure time may vary.
