The van is equipped for Arctic conditions and reaches quieter places away from the usual pull-offs. Pickup is central in Tromsø, so the search starts earlier in the evening. Once a good sky is found, camp goes up for the night. Usually that means a short drive to the coastal islands around Tromsø; sometimes it means going as far as Finland.
