Private Reykjavik Northern Lights Tour with a Professional Photographer
A private aurora hunt on a winter night, run by guides who are also working photographers. The group leaves the city, picks a dark spot, and waits. The practical details are simple: fleece blankets in the vehicle, homemade Icelandic hot chocolate, homemade pastries. Pickup is from Reykjavik or nearby. Private matters more on this kind of tour than on most. Aurora chasing means changing plans mid evening when a cloud bank moves in, and a private group can do that without a coachload of other people to consult. The photographer is the other half of it: getting a usable picture of the aurora means long exposures and manual focus in the dark, which is where most phone attempts fall apart.

Embark on our tour by journeying to one of our secluded…
The drive goes out to one of the operator's secluded spots, well away from city lights, with the driver guide talking through what you are passing on the way. At the chosen site, with some luck, the aurora appears. There is plenty of time for photography, along with the homemade Icelandic hot chocolate and pastries. The guides are experienced photographers, and when conditions allow they take pictures of the aurora and of you under it.
