Ranua Aurora Activity Park After Dark with Sauna and Reindeer

This one fills the waiting with things to do, which suits anyone travelling with children or anyone who finds standing in a field for three hours a hard sell. The park sits by a private pond in Ranua. A sleigh pulled by a snowmobile runs through the forest, and there is skating, kicksledding, snowshoeing and a hill for sledding down. The reindeer are there to be fed. As the evening settles in, the campfire gets going, with sausages and hot drinks and the sky to watch while you eat. The night ends in a traditional Finnish sauna, with an icy plunge available to whoever wants it. A professional local guide runs the whole thing.
