Three Day Iceland Tour: Ice Cave, Glacier Hike and Northern Lights
Three days covering the Golden Circle and the main stops along the south coast, with two separate ways of meeting the ice: a glacier hike on the surface, and a walk inside an ice cave. The route takes in Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss, then Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss and the black sand at Reynisfjara, before continuing east to Skaftafell, Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach. Availability is genuinely limited, and worth booking early. Ice caves are a winter product with a short season, since the caves that form each autumn are gone by spring, and the number of certified guides who can take groups into them does not grow to meet demand.
