Yellowknife Aurora by Bus: Lake Hopping with Hotel Pickup

The route follows the lakes. In autumn their surface works as a mirror and doubles whatever the sky is doing. Once winter locks the ice, the bus can go further and park out in the middle of a lake instead of watching from the shore. Snacks and warm drinks come with the night, along with biscuits, photographs taken for the travellers, and guides who know the North Polar Light and Yellowknife well enough to answer the awkward questions. Pickup and drop-off cover hotels and downtown AirB&Bs. Guests staying further out should arrange collection from a nearby hotel instead. Meeting time is sent before the tour, and the operator asks you to confirm your pickup time by email at [email protected]. One condition worth knowing: the bus needs at least 4 guests to run. If the numbers fall short, you are offered a place on another aurora tour scheduled for that night.
