Whitehorse is the base, and the aurora half of the package happens on three consecutive evenings at the AuroraCentre, a viewing site just outside the city centre but far enough out that the streetlights stop mattering. The evenings are spent beside a roaring campfire, watching and waiting rather than driving from spot to spot. Daytimes stay open. A city tour is included, and the remaining hours are free for sightseeing, shopping and touring in and around the capital. The package suits travellers who would rather settle into one dark site for three nights than chase the sky across the territory.

Late morning brings a city tour of Whitehorse, a town that is historic and trendy at the same time. It takes in the SS Klondike National Historic Site, among the last of the great paddlewheelers that worked the Yukon River system until the 1950s; the Old Log Church, the oldest building in Whitehorse; and the Log Cabin Skyscraper, a three story tower built entirely out of logs. Main Street is then yours for strolling, with its shops, galleries and cafés. The afternoon is free for optional sightseeing and touring, and in winter that can mean dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or ice fishing. After a relaxed dinner in Whitehorse the road calls again, this time towards the northern lights: sheltered comfort or the open starry sky beside a warm fire, at one of the tailor-made aurora viewing locations.

A free day for optional sightseeing and touring. In the winter season this is the moment to try one of the Yukon winter activities: dog sledding, the region's most popular sport and the closest thing to Jack London's Yukon you can still ride; a snowmobiling adventure; a kicksledding tour; or an ice fishing trip where you catch and cook your own meal. Later in the evening the group sets out once more to the AuroraCentre to look for the northern lights.
