Finland is the only country in this catalogue that does not call the aurora the northern lights. Norwegian has nordlys, Swedish norrsken, Icelandic norðurljós, all literally northern light. Finnish has revontulet, fox fires, from a story in which an Arctic fox runs across the fells and throws sparks into the sky with its tail.
